Wanted: Literacy Tutor

Experience life-changing growth. Become a Minnesota Reading Corps literacy tutor in Bertha-Hewitt Public School.

One full time elementary Tutor position is available at forty hours per week.

During your eleven-month Reading Corps service, you’ll receive extensive training, support and general professional development opportunities. In addition, you’ll receive a living stipend, an education award and other benefits if eligible.

Elementary Literacy Tutors work one-on-one with K-3 children who need help learning to read.  They commit to daytime hours and are placed in Bertha-Hewitt Elementary School, where they build their professional experience and network.

Bertha-Hewitt Sports Boosters

The Bertha-Hewitt Sports Boosters are currently looking for a volunteer to coordinate the mailings for the annual "Phantom Ball."  If you are interested in taking on this project, please contact Steve Riewer, Activities Director.
The Sports Boosters will also be holding elections for new officers and Board Members in November.  Please contact Steve if you are willing to serve on the Board of Directors as well.
